debian testing no speech after new install

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi:

Will I be able to use software speech with Debian testing and the next
stable release "squeeze"?
My understanding is that I can't use software speech with Lenny.
So I need sighted assistance when doing a install.

I've used Chris Brannons Talking Arch and love it.
However the constantly updating of packages is sometimes very painful when
running it as a server...

Hi. You would add it to /etc/modules.
Use what ever editor you want to add the line

speakup_apollo

to the bottom of the file.
