I am getting this error when running speakupconf load in one of my two
systems running the latest 2.6.24 kernel, patched with the latest
speakup.git:

/usr/local/bin/speakupconf: line 42: [: too many arguments

When I look at lines 41-43, what I find is this:

  for f in *; do
    if [ -w /sys/module/speakup/parameters/$f ]; then
      cat $f >/sys/module/speakup/parameters/$f

Before doing the speakupconf load command, I did a speakupconf save,
which gave no warnings or errors. The error happens only on one system,
not on the other, although the same versions of Debian, the same kernel
versions, and the same versions of speakupconf are running on each
system.

Any clues or suggestions are most welcome here.

Oh yes -- this happens when the soft driver is running, have not tried
other drivers yet.

Chuck
