Hi John: We may put the default synth back in at some point but not having it brings us more inline with what the kernel folks want. I also figured it wasn't much different than just putting a kcl argument in lilo.conf or grub.conf so it really didn't matter all that much. I'll check the delimiter thang and see what we can do. A number of these parametres have been biting us upon relocation. It's as if they didn't want to move to a new home. Just for grins though, what happens if you: echo " " >/sys/modules/parameters/delimiters which is a more conventional approach.
