It also tells you how to find out the uptime of a nt family windblows system if anybody cares. It also has a link to another article that exactly explains the load average output you get when typing uptime at the prompt on a unix system. I always knew of course that a load average of 2 was putting more load on the system than 0.50 for example, and that the values displayed were for 1, 5, and 15 minutes respectively, but I never knew until now exactly how to interpret that output.
