I stand to be corrected, but since grml is a debian-based system, the following should work: To see a list of installed packages, type: aptitude search '~i' |more , and use the spacebar to move to the next screen. If you want to see a description for each package in the list, type: aptitude show packagename Besides that, you'll want to learn about gnu/linux.
