If you do have a second computer available, may I suggest it may be easier to install Fedora 6 using telnet and figure out later about getting the Doubletalk talking. You would also have the option of software speech once Fedora is installed, so it should be easier to debug the Doubletalk issue. And, you'll have Speakup's clipboard for cutting and pasting this kind of system output.
