-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: RIPEMD160 Good idea but I think you'll have to be careful which versions of speakup you use to patch. Don't certain versions only work with specific versions of the kernel? Slack is unfortunately still using a 2.4 kernel for its base line boots and the 2.6 stuff is pre 2.6.18. If speakup gets patched to work with 2.6.18, won't that make it incompatible with 2.6.17 kernels? I sure wish this wouldn't keep breaking with every other kernel version change. I keep thinking about it but forget to do anything about it but I always wanted to tryand give Pat the latest version of Speakup he can patch kernels with or prepare a kernel form or whatever. I just installed Slackware on another box last weekend and loaded a bunch of personal data on it already. Gee, if I had only waited another week, I could have avoided the need to upgrade yet another computer:). I don't really wanna start over on this box because it took me so long to migrate the personal files over from the old 486. Oh well... On Thu, Oct 05, 2006 at 03:40:28AM -0600, Joseph C.
