I've installed viavoice sdk, correctly installed and configured speech-dispatcher, and get only silence when running the speech tests. According to the output of the tests, it's supposed to be speaking, but nothing through the sound card. I've tried using both alsa and oss configurations. Similar problem with gnome-speech-0.3.10. It compiles okay, and test-speech allows me to select the viavoice driver, but then complains it can't initialize the server. Any ideas? Cheers, Josh
