Alsa-and-More Trebble, with Speakup?

I just bought this particular Soundblaster mp3 card last week.  There are no
bass or trebble controls on the card using either alsamixer or rexima.  It looks
like a software eq is needed for this one, assuming there even is such a thing.
I also noticed that alsamixer seems to mess up some controls on this one so that
when you set the record volume of the mic you can't seem to change it if you
want the mic to not come through the speakers or headphones.  Maybe someone can
help me with this one.
