How do I install port audio?

The zip file I downloaded had to be unzipped with the -a option to 
translate those NL characters to the unix standard. After that I gave 
the configure script execute permissions and all was well. If the 
problem copy has that feature, unzip it like this:

unzip -a portaudio.x.y.zip

or whatever the filename is.
