I am attempting to upgrade Fedora Core 3 to 4 through Yum. yes, I have done search on problems I'm encountered. I am stuck on this one though. When running yum update, I get the following: --> Running transaction check --> Processing Dependency: libfltk.so.1.1 for package: OpenEXR --> Processing Dependency: pinentry >= 0.7.1 for package: gnupg2 --> Processing Dependency: libksba.so.8(KSBA_0.9) for package: gnupg2 --> Processing Dependency: kernel-utils for package: kernel --> Processing Dependency: libfltk_gl.so.1.1 for package: OpenEXR --> Processing Dependency: libksba.so.8 for package: gnupg2 --> Restarting Dependency Resolution with new changes. --> Populating transaction set with selected packages. Please wait. ---> Package libksba.i386 0:0.9.13-2.fc4 set to be updated ---> Package pinentry.i386 0:0.7.1-4 set to be updated ---> Package fltk.i386 0:1.1.6-1.fc4 set to be updated --> Running transaction check --> Processing Dependency: kernel-utils for package: kernel --> Finished Dependency Resolution Error: Missing Dependency: kernel-utils is needed by package kernel As you can see, everything is set to update, but I am stopped by this error message. Any ideas of what's going on with this? Oh, the kernel I am unning is 2.6.11-1.14_FC3spk, but when I boot up, I am running Fedora Core 4 after downloading the fedora-release-4-2.noarch.rpm, and running it with rpm -Uvh fedora-release-4-2.noarch.rpm.
