I don't have the exact syntax with me, I am at work, and it is on my home system. I will say that you can figure it out by reading the .repo file, and simply making a few minor changes to the file, and saving it as Speakup.repo for example. The lines to change are the first line, this is the paragraph start. It looks like [SOMETEXT] You may want to change it to something like [speakup] The next line you can add speakup after the = symbol if you like. The 3rd line is the url to the location of the speakup repository. Again, you'll have to figure this one out, because I don't have it memorized. Lastly, you need to make sure that you can update / upgrade kernels. Some people tell yum to exclude kernel updates, which is not what you want to do. As to telnet. You shouldn't have a problem, and you will need to reboot after the kernel is updated to avoid a lot of conflicts.
