best linux version to use that is up to date now that fedora coreis no longer being updated with speakup

I guess this also begs the question if we'll ever see another FC build with
SpeakUp much like the FC 3 ISO's which we could download?

Have you tried ubuntu? its not speakup, but its the latest and greatest.
