was this plugged in to a real power serge protector aor just a power bar of outlets. there's a chance your machine is gone do to a serge. I just lost a p3 866 due to this issue. I had it plugged in to power bar, which I was asured that could handle serges by a store person and now my p3 866 is a gon er.
