I have been experimenting with gocr recently. It is much improved from a couple of years ago. The problem seems to be in coordinating the ocr program and the scan program. gocr likes 300 dots per inch, and even then it isn't perfect. Haven't tried ocrad in a while, but I would suggest giving gocr a chance. Gotta support these open source efforts! Larry
