Debian DVD

Hi.

that is a Woody release of Debian.  Woody was released almost 3 years
ago.  It doesn't have speakup.

You need a Debian 3.1 (Sarge) CD or DVD to get any version of speakup.  
Even then, it will have an old CVS release of speakup in the 
2.4.27-speakup kernel.
