I'd recommend for you to go ahead and get the kernel source from kernel.org then
learn kernel-package then compile your own speakup-enabled kernel deb.You havwe
to get the kernel source from kernel.org because last I checked the version in
sarge was still at 2.6.8 and speakup 2 requires at least 2.6.10.
