ok, here goes a brief informational post about DNS... there is ***no*** complete source of information about domains registered etc... There is, however, many registries that maintain information about various domains... With that said, there is a way to do a better job of finding the availability of a domain. checkout bwwhois available from http://whois.bw.org This client, among other things, has a table of which registrys administer which top-level domains...
