mixers for alsa?

Hi.

Try amixer.  The syntax is strange at first because of the control
names, but it will let you change anything.  As an example, to see the
setting of the master, the command would be:

amixer get Master,0

Note the uper case M in Master,0.  Since controls are different for
different sound cards, type

amixer |more

to see the names of available controls for your card.
