Yep, gotit working. It just seemed like FC3 used fstab-sync for all fstab related mounts. That is what was throwing me off. I just created label for /dev/hdc1 and called it /home and put that information in fstab. Did the same for /var where /home used to be and all went well. rsync -a from old var into new var went well and everything seems to be working fine now. I just need to read up on how FC3 handles packages and the like. I don't like sendmail and would rather use exim but see both are installed with sendmail being used.
