Thank you everyone for your help. Hopefully, this newbie linux user will be up and running. Just to give you an update as to whre I am with everything, it appears that my machine is not set up to boot from cd or the floppy drive. Therefore, my next step will be changing the bios to allow it to boot from the cdrom drive prior to the hard drive.
