Don't know if this has anything to do with it but today I've been trying to get gnopernicus up and running. Apparently it's using the dectalk software I have on my system because I do notice quite a few instances of dectalk-synthes when I run ps. at any rate, I just tried to run 'say" and got: dectalk has exceeded license quota and say exited.
