Thanks for your response Kirk. We are running debian here on a test machine. I figured out what my problem was. The student who was assisting me had gnome loading when the computer boots so I wasn't at a command line prompt. Being that it is spring break, I'll just wait for him to get back because I don't know how to exit gnome. In the mean time, I will try to get linux set up and running on a machine I have at home. -----Original Message----- From: speakup-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:speakup-bounces at braille.uwo.ca] On Behalf Of Kirk Reiser Sent: Monday, March 07, 2005 1:15 PM To: Speakup is a screen review system for Linux. If it is then most likely at the boot prompt you would type something like: linux speakup_dtlk Good luck. -- Kirk Reiser The Computer Braille Facility e-mail: kirk at braille.uwo.ca University of Western Ontario phone: (519) 661-3061 _______________________________________________ Speakup mailing list Speakup at braille.uwo.ca http://speech.braille.uwo.ca/mailman/listinfo/speakup
