I had an encounter with zerospam.com earlier and found out when you clicked on their link that a graphic appeared that was a string of characters you had to type to get validated. This was because someone else was already using it on a mailing list they were on so I never did managed to get validated it's a g-mail clone in that respect as is peoplepc unless those sites have cleaned up their acts.
