speakupconf and software speech

Seen the same problem using a braille-lite.  If I set echo 1 >
/proc/speakup/say_word_ctl, this goes away.  I think that's the right parameter,
the one which decides which letters are echoed?  No wait that's key_echo you
want to set to 1.
