I recall that someone else offered to send me a vsftpd.conf file, but I don't remember who it was. Since I cannot get into my Linux box through the network, it would be helpful if whomever could send me a good generic file, could give me an ftp site to download it from. If you care to configure out any of your own settings, I need it to use my external IP of 24.116.252.4 I want to give outsiders the ability to upload files and directories to my "incoming folder. And I want to allow anonymous logins. I have read through the one John sent me, and it seems fine, but I cannot figure out why I cannot make his work. Thanks very much. GlennErvin at cableone.net
