Is there a way to make vsftpd give a listing for an ftp directory that looks like: drwxr-x--- 4 lorenzo ftp 4096 Feb 24 2004 Christmas drwxr-x--- 2 lorenzo ftp 4096 May 3 2004 DVS drwxr-x--- 2 lorenzo ftp 4096 May 1 2004 comedy drwxr-x--- 2 lorenzo ftp 4096 Feb 24 2004 dectalk drwxr-x--- 2 lorenzo ftp 4096 Dec 9 00:37 images drwx-wx--- 5 lorenzo ftp 4096 Jan 17 17:04 incoming drwxr-x--- 55 lorenzo ftp 20480 Dec 29 22:03 music drwxr-x--- 4 lorenzo ftp 4096 Feb 24 2004 narnia drwxr-x--- 3 lorenzo ftp 4096 Jan 16 02:04 software drwxr-x--- 2 lorenzo ftp 4096 Dec 28 10:46 soundfonts drwxr-x--- 2 lorenzo ftp 8192 May 14 2004 sounds drwxr-x--- 3 lorenzo ftp 4096 Feb 24 2004 text drwxr-x--- 2 lorenzo ftp 4096 May 29 2004 video and to make it actually let people download files with similar permissions and ownership, with the exception that all files are rw-r----- instead of rwx-r-x----? Actually, this is the only reason why I still use proftpd, as I like how vsftpd can chroot local users in their home directories so they don't have ftp access to other parts of the system. Sorry for the diversion, but I thought since vsftpd was mentioned as a better sollution I should go ahead and ask my question here. I will repost in a new thread if it is more appropriate. PRINCE
