Well, I got my sound card working; it seems as though I needed to compile the emu10k1 driver. I went back in and installed it as a module. I still can't find the PC speaker option in make menuconfig (if anyone knows where it is, I'd like to know) but that's no big deal. I didn't find it where Alex suggested.
