Switch on my serial port? re-wiring the devices? I need a little more explanation. Where should I look to find out how to write or modify the initialization scripts. The system has two kernels, one with speakup and one without. To try simplifying the process, I'd load speakup with the bns synth which happens to be a braillelite, or I'd load brltty when I'm using the other kernel and choosing emacspeak to run software speech.
