Hi all, just to let you know that the packages are now available and ready for testing. visit http://www.freedomchat.org/ss, and download the four files in that directory. Place these into a directory of their own, and as root do: installpkg*.tgz. This should install everything in the right place and also create the /dev/softsynth and /dev/synth devices for you. now, as root, just do: speech-dispatcher echo sftsyn >/proc/speakup/synth_name speechd-up. please let me know if this works (or doesn't) for you.
