That would be most excellent for curses based applications like many browsers and the midnight commander. To answer another question, the Midnight Commander is a full screen file manager. It resembles the old Norton Commander used on many DOS and some Windows systems. Slackware has it available as a pre-compiled package. It's actually pretty cool.
