parallel port mystery solved

Hi all.

A while back I wrote here describing the problem I had regarding not
being able to use the parallel port on a Dell v350. Well, it turns out
that it was set to "auto" in BIOS instead of "bi-directional", which I
suppose could explain why it worked in windows, but didn't work under
linux. Just thought I'd share this info in case anybody was interested
in how that turned out.
