Hello to all listers. I am trying to help a friend with a new fc install. >From all of the man info, typing yum update, the packages will be updated at least those that are installed on the system. Wow it is taking a long time. He is using x during this time, and I am locally logged in via my linux box on ssh. Any help is appreciated. His cpu according to cpuinfo is some thing like 1.2 and the rest I can't remember. His cpu is an athalon xp according to this friend. 1 gig of ram, not sure how much is free. thanks Eric
