Just installed Debian

On the topic of just installing debian, i need to get a website or something
whare i can learn the basics, you no, whats a good mail client to use and step
by step guides to configure stuff like that. i'm stupid to this sorta thing...

To use speakup in Debian with a 2.6 kernel, you will need to build the
kernel yourself.  There aren't any official Debian 2.6 kernel packages
with speakup.

I usually install with the 2.4 speakup kernel and build my 2.6
kernel as soon as the install finishes.
