checking vfat file system with mtools

Hi all.

I need to chkdsk/scandisk a vfat file system, and I don't want to use
windblows to do it. I recall someone saying on here recently how it
can be done with mtools, but I've googled the list archives and the web, glanced
through the mtools man page, and still don't see the command I'm
looking for. Could someone please tell me what the command I'm looking
for is? Thanks.
