Hi guys. Recently after upgrading to 2.6.81, I can no longer burn audio CD's with cdrecord. In this instance, it got up to track 4, then produced the following output: Total bytes read/written: 42158592/42159600 (17925 sectors). cdrecord: Success. write_g1: scsi sendcmd: no error CDB: 2A 00 00 01 55 C5 00 00 1B 00 status: 0x2 (CHECK CONDITION) Sense Bytes: 70 00 05 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 24 00 00 00 Sense Key: 0x5 Illegal Request, Segment 0 Sense Code: 0x24 Qual 0x00 (invalid field in cdb) Fru 0x0 Sense flags: Blk 0 (not valid) resid: 63504 cmd finished after 2.750s timeout 40s write track data: error after 25655616 bytes cdrecord: A write error occured. cdrecord: Please properly read the error message above. [root at va3duk tmp]# This is under FC2 by the way. the burn line was: cdrecord -pad *.wav -dev=/dev/cdrom1 Any suggestions as to how to interpret this error? Clearly hardware isn't at fault. Has anything changed as to how the kernel handles IDE-based or ATAPI CD-roms? B/c this one has stumped me completely. -- Erik Heil <eheil at va3duk.serveftp.com> Phone: (865) 673-0542
