Hi all. I've recently reentered my system after a long leave, and I have a problem with the system not letting me log in as root. When I type "root" at the lgoin prompt, it spits me back out as if something were wrong with a "login incorrect." When I try to su to root, it does the same thing, even after I type in a correct password. I've confirmed the password because I can bypass init by using init=/bin/bash, and changed the password to nothing but a space; no luck there. Could someone give me any suggestions? --- Life is either tragedy or comedy. Usually it's your choice. You can whine or you can laugh. --Animorphs
