(way OT) thinkpad and cdrom booting

Well, well, well!!! some computers really ARE accessible if you know what 
to do!!!
I did a little google hunting and found out that on my thinkpad f12 will 
allow you to temporarily change the boot medium. Hit or hold down (I held 
down since I wasn't sure) f12 at boot and arrow down twice and hit enter 
and--voil`a!!! You boot from cdrom!!!
thanks for the comment about F8; that's what got me thinking it might be 
possible and sent me searching.
