Where is autoexec.bat!

This is a DOS concept. It is not a Unix or Linux designation. Consult the HOWTO documents at the Linux Documentation pages, http://www.tldp.org and read about the boot process.

Quick Tip: Examine the file .bashrc in your home directory. and consult the bash man page to understand what's there:

man bash
