To build or to not build a kernal

I don't know what proformence is, unless it's the opposite of
conformance.
Fedora has a series of kernels precompiled for the various architectures.
I haven't been able to compile the kernels for FC2 on my FC1 box. So,
I've asked a friend to install fc2 on a spare box. He's not a speech
user, so he can just install the stock version. Then, I'll SSH in and see
if I can build the Speakup kernels. This will probably delay the Speakup
Modified FC2 for a few weeks.

          HTH.
