Hello, I have used both qmail and courier. You can find information on qmail at: http://www.qmail.org or http://pobox.com/~djb Qmail is relatively easy to set up and is highly secure. The only real problem I have with it is that you have to patch it to do just about everything. That includes SSL/TLS and SMTP authentication if you want that, which you most likely do. As for courier, you can find the information on: http://www.courier-mta.org I can't really evaluate the security of this package because it is a relatively new player when compared to some of the others out there. I can say that it is very functional. It contains the SMTP server, as well as a pop3, imap, and webmail server. I've also heard that postfix is pretty good, though I've never used it. I would recommend staying away from exim and sendmail for security reasons. In the case of exim, my security concerns are hear-say, so they may not be valid. However, I can make definite statements on the security of sendmail. --- Joseph C.
