ram question

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi, I just wanted to comment on the following as I have been told
differently.

I was under the impression that this is not the case. I was told by several
different people that the motherboard would default to the lowest
throughput, in this case 100mhz.

No trees were destroyed in sending this message; however, a large number of
electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

... If I've read your question correctly, you have 3 ram modules, a256 mb
133 and 2 128 mb 100 chips. well you can't mix chip speeds. Your
motherboard will either support 100 mhz or 133 mhz chips but not both.
