-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Here's a solution: first install lilo. grub is still from what I understand development software therefore buggy. lilo is stable and easy to use. to install lilo when you get to the part where your cursor is on install grub arow down 1 to install lilo. after your computer reboots, complete the system config as best you can (you only need to go as far as completion of the configure users step.) Switch to another tty with alt-f2 and open /etc/lilo.conf with nano or something. add the line append="speakup_synth=xxx" replacing xxx with your synth. run lilo. restart. you should be all set. If someone knows a more ifficient way to do this I.E. specifying the parameters during the lilo install please tell me. luckily the accent pc and my artic transport comunicate in a similar enough way I was able to get speach when I rebooted.
