-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all. I have found the time to sit down, and join what seems to be an ever widening circle of gpg users on this list. I want to see if my message gets to the list, and I also have a question for those using gpg with mutt. When first testing my gpg and mutt setup, I was using the newer signature type, where it I believe sends the signature as an attachment. When using the newer signature format, I got the following when reading test messages sent to myself. Invoking gpg Signature successfully verified Followed by: PGP output follows (current time: Mon Mar 15 14:29:44 2004) --] gpg: Signature made Mon Mar 15 14:27:41 2004 CST using DSA key ID 79725320 gpg: Good signature from "Gregory Nowak <greg at romuald.net.eu.org>" [-- End of PGP output --] [-- The following data is signed --] In addition, mutt's status bar said "NS" for new and signed message. However, after putting set pgp_create_traditional=yes in my .muttrc, all I get in my signed messages now is: - -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 followed by my signature at the bottom. Is it possible that I could get the behavior described above with the older signatures, where mutt actually calls gpg to verify the signature, and the message status line shows "NS" instead of just "N"? If this is possible, then could somebody please point me to info on what I need to do to get this to work? Hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance. Greg P.S. Since the mutt that comes with slackware 9.1 in patches/packages doesn't support in-line signatures, I've built my mutt from Igor's source. In case someone would like to take advantage of gpg and mutt under slackware 9.1, and if you don't want to be bothered with building from source, I've posted a slackware package of mutt 1.4.2I from Igor's source on my ftp site: ftp://ftp.romuald.net.eu.org/pub/slackware/ . - -- Free domains: http://www.eu.org/ or mail dns-manager at EU.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAVhZW7s9z/XlyUyARAqfaAKCewaVVzg960wF8G+ryK2/mi8CgqACgj+q7 Ff5OQfInuWsr4ftWej362z8= =v4QK -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
