packmate under linux?

Sorry, I should have been more clear here.  I was putting the braille
display asside in my second sentance.  In other words, why go to the trouble
of outfitting the pac mate for linux when there are better less expensive
solutions already available?

Yes, specially when the Braille display is the cheapest on the market in
your country.  Also the braille display is very portable.
