Question about LGPL

Hi list,

It is my understanding that if I have a non-free application that links to a
Lesser GPL library, then I do not have to release the source code of my
combined application.

My question is: if I have a non-free application that links to an LGPL
library, but one for which I have modified that LGPL code as well, do I then
need to release the modified LGPL portion of the code?

Thanks for any assistance and clarification.

Take care,
Sina
