What should Festival do better? (was: Speech Dispatcher 0.5 ReleaseCandidate 1 available)

As far as hardware synths, I am not comfortable using a computer without a
hardware synth.  Even if for some reason I might prefer the software synth,
we can only rely on a hardware synth if we are going to do any tweaking to
our system which might effect the audio output.

What's the problem with Festival? I mean, what should Festival do better
so that you could use it instead of Dectalk or Eloquence? Or the other
hardware synthesizers.

Of course, this is also a question for others.
