Hi. No, it isn't in Debian. Sun's licence violates Debian's policy on software licensing. Download the j2sdk-1_4_2_02-linux-i586.bin file from Sun's web sight. Install the java-common package to read about Java in Debian. There are instructions in /usr/share/doc/java-common. That's how I installed it on this system. Hope this helps. I tried to find the package in Debian, but I either don't know what I am doing, or it isn't there. Does that package exist in Debian? I get some hits on apt-cache but what to install isn't clear. > > Rejean Proulx > Visit my family at http://interfree.ca > MSN is: rejp at rogers.com > Ham License VA3REJ > _______________________________________________ > Speakup mailing list > Speakup at braille.uwo.ca > http://speech.braille.uwo.ca/mailman/listinfo/speakup
