Hi all. I'm trying to setup a dial-in server with mgetty. However, when trying to dial-in, I get the following message on the console. mgetty FATAL: dem clean_line: got too much junk (dev=modem). I've tried looking this up in the mgetty manual's trouble shooting section, but no luck. Then, I googled for "mgetty" "clean_line" "too much junk", but the results I got had only one report of this same problem in English, with no follow-ups. The other results I got were in languages other then English. Could someone please, please help me by telling me what is causing this error, this is starting to drive me nuts. My mgetty log is below. Thanks. Greg P.S. Some times, I am able to make the call, and login without problems, but more often then not, I get the error shown above. 02/11 20:40:49 dem wfr: waiting for ``RING'' 02/11 20:40:55 dem send: ATA[0d] 02/11 20:40:55 dem waiting for ``CONNECT'' ** found ** 02/11 20:41:12 dem send: 02/11 20:41:12 dem waiting for ``_'' ** found ** 02/11 20:41:22 dem clean_line: only 500 of 10000 bytes logged 02/11 20:41:22 dem clean_line: got too much junk (dev=modem).: Operation not permitted -- 02/11 20:41:23 dem mgetty: experimental test release 1.1.30-Dec16 02/11 20:41:23 dem check for lockfiles 02/11 20:41:23 dem locking the line 02/11 20:41:23 dem lowering DTR to reset Modem 02/11 20:41:24 dem send: \dATQ0V1H0[0d] 02/11 20:41:25 dem waiting for ``OK'' ** found ** 02/11 20:41:25 dem send: ATS0=0Q0&D3&C1&H0[0d] 02/11 20:41:25 dem waiting for ``OK'' ** found ** 02/11 20:41:25 dem waiting... -- Free domains: http://www.eu.org/ or mail dns-manager at EU.org
