kernel-2.6.10 spk compilation fails

Hello all:
I downloaded and tried to compile the 2.6.10 Linux kernel with speakup, but the cvs patches do not apply correctly. One
of the hunks fails when patching vt.c. This causes the compilation of the kernel to break as well.

I tried using the -F option when applying the speakup patches and the patch applies ok, but the compilation fails
anyway. So, I guess that some code has changed in vt.c that is breaking speakup. This happened back when 2.6.8.1 came
out, but it was resolved after a few days. Can someone tell me if there is anything I can do, or if the problem is
beeing worked on...

Thanx!

David B.
